UFC president Dana White has repeatedly promised that UFC 300 would be a phenomenal show. While it's been shaping up good, it is still being pieced together. The card got significantly on Tuesday, though, with the addition of a BMF title fight between Justin Gaethje and former featherweight champion Max Holloway, which will be a five-rounder.

That bout has Fight of the Year written all over it.

White also announced Tuesday that Jim Miller, who has fought at UFC 100 and UFC 200, will face Bobby Green at UFC 300. Those additions make it a much more solid card, though White insists there's more to come. It also means that Paul Felder won't be ending his retirement and coming out of the broadcast booth to face Miller. UFC 300 will be on April 13 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Right now, though, it appears that UFC 299, which will be held March 9 in Miami, has a slight edge as it gets closer to the cards needing to be finalized.

First, here are the fights that have been announced for UFC 300:

Holloway called for the fight in October. At that time, Gaethje was angling for a bout with lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and Holloway took to X to throw his hat into the ring.

Makhachev is injured and not expected back until May or June, so he wasn't available. A Gaethje-Holloway fight more than fills the void.

That's a solid card for sure, and there are four more fights to come, including a main event.

But is it better than UFC 299? Well, you be the judge. Here are the fights on 299:

So, UFC 299 is basically done, with 12 fights, and is very strong. UFC 300 still has a bit more to go, so it could still wind up blowing UFC 299 out. It's not out of the realm of possibility that UFC 300 could mark the return of Conor McGregor. McGregor re-entered the UFC's anti-doping pool on Oct. 5, when it was administered by USADA. He is eligible to fight on April 5 after having been in the pool for six full months, so it's possible McGregor and Michael Chandler could meet in Las Vegas on April 13.

At UFC 300, there are two title fights so far, a No. 1 contender's match and eight current or former champions are on the card. At UFC 299, there is one title fight and three current or former champions on the card.

Whichever card you prefer, it's shaping up to be an entertaining late winter/early spring for the UFC with these cards.
