LAS VEGAS -- I began this site on Jan. 22 and was terribly nervous and afraid. Oh, I'd had plenty of experience writing, editing and talking about combat sports, but running my own business was a new thing entirely.

A bit more than eight months later, I'm proud of what I have done here on keviniole.com and on my YouTube channel

I created the YouTube channel years ago but rarely used it. When I launched this site on Jan. 22, I had roughly 4,800 subscribers on YouTube. Today, Oct. 3, I surpassed 13,000 YouTube subscribers and it's really growing quickly.

On my site, the growth has been fantastic. It's like the stock market, where if you look at it closely, it goes up and down, but when you look big-picture its an arrow straight up from bottom to top. We're not where we want to be traffic wise, which is the reason for this story and the accompanying video.

I'm doing this to service you and your interests. I am thinking of adding another tab on the website, where I can write about something other than combat sports. It would most likely be stuff about either technology or Pittsburgh sports teams, but I'll reserve the right to write about anything except politics if I go that route.

For KevinIole.com, what kinds of stories do you want to read? Do you want fight breakdowns, betting picks, fight analysis, commentary, features, etc? Let me know.

My site is free to read and but you have to register to comment. We will never spam you (or email you at all) but we need you to register to comment to control spam ourselves. On any article, click the comment bubble and register and comment away. I would appreciate your thoughts on what you want and don't want.

We're going to create a focus group and I'm going to be 6, 8 or 10 people. I'll pay them for a couple of hours and we'll talk about what you like on the site, what you want to see more of, what you want less of and how you would like it presented. I'm going to do that for both my website and my YouTube page.

I want to thank the following for their support:

Fred Sternburg -- My long-time friend was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2024. He's a great sounding board, a phenomenal advocate for him and has great thoughts on most everything. The only bad thing about him is he uses a flip phone.

George Zapata -- George is the host of The Zapata Brand Podcast and he's become a great friend. He's always there for me and he has helped me in more ways than I could ever express. He created the fantastic intro graphic on this video, and has helped me learn how to use Streamyard more efficiently.

Nestor Reyes -- Nestor owns CreativeNestor.com, a digital marketing company. He's been making a huge difference on my YouTube channel. He's creating shorts from my interviews and he's gotten the thumbnails looking sharp. Check out his work. The guy does quality work and is a workaholic. Reach out if you're in need of his services.

Austin Morales -- Austin is a student at UNLV and he created the intro graphic you see on most of my interviews as well as the outro. He was previously with UFC Fight Pass and has been terrific in helping with the graphics and producing videos.

Dale Hopkins -- Dale is the CEO of InDemand and runs PPV.com. She is a creative mind and has become a wonderful friend and adviser. Her support has been invaluable.

Nick Khan -- Nick is the CEO of the WWE and is my former agent. He's a brilliant guy and was there for me with cogent advice when I needed him in the days immediately after I was laid off.
