UFC CEO Dana White announced Thursday on social media that a welterweight title fight between champion Belal Muhammad and Belal Muhammad will headline UFC 304, which is set for July 27 at Co-Op Arena in Manchester, England. The bout is a rematch of a March 13, 2021, match in Las Vegas that ended in a no-contest when Edwards inadvertently poked Muhammad in the eye.
White said the co-main event will be another rematch, a bout between interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes. Blaydes scored a win over Aspinall on July 23, 2022, when Aspinall severely injured his knee just seconds into the fight.
White also said that Bobby Green will get his wish and will face Paddy Pimblett. Green called out Pimblett at UFC 300 after he defeated Jim Miller. Also, White said that Arnold Allen will meet Giga Chikadze in a featherweight bout.
"They were asking for it and we gave it to them," White said of Green and Pimblett.
